‘Heritage Tour of the City of Ahmedabad’ for Yuva Tourism Club Students of St. Kabir School, Naranpura

As we celebrate Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, Ministry of Tourism is focusing on forming Yuva Tourism Club in school and colleges to make our young minds understand about the rich culture and heritage of our Country. . Heritage Walks plays an integral part when it comes to understanding the heritage and culture of a place. Heritage Walk are a perfect opportunity to introduce the young to history and what’s better than starting from our own neighborhood. Indiatourism Mumbai organized a heritage tour for the Yuva Tourism Club members of St. Kabir School, Naranpura to make them understand and appreciate their own heritage and explore the city in which they have been living all their life.

The tour was led by a State level Tour Guide who engaged the students by amazing story telling skills, narratives and history. The students were fascinated to see the hidden Ahmedabad beyond what they see everyday!. The tour was conducted on an open deck bus and started from first visiting the the Riverfront, followed by Sidi Saiyad Mosque, Bhadra Fort, Bhadra Kali Temple, Rani Sipri Masjid, and Dada Hari Stepwell. Astodia gate, the Shaking Minarets and Rani Sipri ki Masjid.

The Tour ended with the message “Keeping Our Tourist spots Clean”  The students helped to spread awareness of Keeping Tourist Spots Clean through banners, placards, slogans and also a Nukkad Natak in the premises of Bhadrakali Temple.
